I just found out from the local paper that the National Guard from my home county will be deployed in the fall, according to the release, "to serve on a mission in support of the Global War on Terrorism." There are a lot of people I know in the Guard up there, and a lot of them just got back from helping in the Gulf region after Hurricane Katrina. Yee-freakin'-haw.
